SAAS Agritech / 2026
Client: IOI
The brief
Agricultural enterprises across Zimbabwe and Southern Africa often face critical gaps in funding accessibility and data-driven farm management tools. Green Yield Fund partnered with IOI, a digital agency based in Harare, to build a scalable SaaS agritech platform designed to connect agricultural ventures with sustainable impact investors. The primary challenge was replacing fragmented manual record-keeping with an intuitive digital ecosystem capable of tracking crop performance, managing fund allocations, and measuring yield outcomes in real time across remote farming communities. To solve these operational bottlenecks, IOI delivered an end-to-end digital product encompassing user experience UI/UX design, custom web and mobile application development, and resilient cloud architecture tailored for low-bandwidth environments. Our engineering team focused on creating an accessible, mobile-first interface that enables farmers to log vital field data offline while providing institutional investors with clear, interactive dashboards detailing project metrics, risk assessments, and financial returns. Since its launch, the Green Yield Fund agritech platform has streamlined capital deployment and enhanced crop yield tracking across regional farming initiatives. By combining modern software development with human-centered design, IOI helped transform a complex micro-investment workflow into a robust SaaS solution that drives sustainable food production and economic growth in Zimbabwe.
